The beautiful Apogee "Flash" is designed for two-seat light sport, ultralight, experimental aircraft. The wing can be used for competitions, cross-country, flight school, recreational flying and work - spraying plants, aerial patrolling and more. The folded wing folds while mounting on the tricycle. This is a very useful feature for parking your aircraft in front of or inside the hangar between flights and for trailer transport. Each wing is flight tested and assembled at the factory, then packed for overseas shipment.

Apogee "Flash" can be ordered in different variants. For example, it can be supported (more popular in North America) and attached with cables. The top surface uses the best Poliant Dacron or reinforced laminates for sails and sewing thread with a lifetime warranty against UV degradation. The back edge can be classic and wireless with different types of slatted furniture. Drop mounts and down tubes are standard. 1 or 2 power cut-off mechanisms can be added as options. The first one is used to move the Hangblock. The second is used to adjust the tension of the crossbar in flight. The result is a wider range of speeds and easier handling at low speeds (takeoff, landing). 3 different downtube lengths, different suspension blocks, so the wing can be adapted to almost any existing trike.

Maximum takeoff weight for the standard Apogee "Flash" is 1,090 lb (495 kg) and 1,210 lb (550 kg) for the reinforced construction. We know of 3-seat and heavy ag crop sprayers that fly successfully with a reinforced "Flash" with about 600 kg (1300 LB) MTOV (Not recommended by the wing manufacturer). The construction is made of aluminum tubes 2024 and 7075, barely anodized. The 2024-T3 material is stronger than the cheaper 606-T6 used by most other trike wing manufacturers. An excellent wing for pilots who decide to upgrade their existing trikes, as well as for amateur home builders.

The wing is tested with positive and negative static loads. Pictures below. You will see an actual load of 2834 kg (6240 lb) on the scale. The structure was not destroyed. Amazing results!
